the Bible chronologically.

Together, we will explore God's sovereign plan as the events of Scripture unfold and point

to Jesus.

Welcome back to the podcast.

Today is an exciting day.

I know I say that a lot, but there are some passages that resonate loudly in God's

plan of redemption, passages that share the majestic, glorious, and hope-filled reality

of Jesus Christ and what He came to do for us.

And as we cover Isaiah, chapters 50 through 53 today, we come to one such passage.

Our time together today will end with Isaiah 53.

Known as the suffering servant passage, we will get a glimpse of the Messiah's humble

leadership through pain, mockery, and death.

And, we will celebrate that the story doesn't end there.

But first, we will begin with chapter 50, which provides us with a contrast between the

disobedient Israelites and the obedient servant Jesus.

God had not divorced Himself from His people, but He had brought discipline for their disobedience

and transgressions.

Jesus speaks in the first person in verses 4 through 9 and displays what true obedience
