0:36.2	We are so close to finishing the Book of Deuteronomy and today our reading covered a lot of ground
0:42.8	as we read chapters 28 through 31.
0:46.1	So we won't get too deep into the context but we will look at the overarching truths and
0:51.8	the hope of Christ we see throughout these chapters.
0:55.4	Yesterday, we started a new section within Deuteronomy about the blessings and the curses.
1:02.4	Chapter 27 detailed the ceremony the nation would hold when they entered the Promised Land.
1:09.1	The sampling of laws recited, followed by the people's amen, indicated their commitment
1:15.6	to this agreement between them and God.
1:19.1	As we take a look at chapter 28, these verses specifically described the blessings and curses
1:26.0	the nation would experience depending on their obedience or rebellion.
1:31.6	The blessings described in verses 3 through 6 indicate that it wouldn't just be the people
1:37.2	who were blessed but every aspect of their lives.
1:41.1	Their land, crops, animals, cities and food would all be blessed.
1:46.8	Take a wave that crashes over the shore so would the blessings of God be on their lives.
