We are so close to finishing the Book of Deuteronomy and today our reading covered a lot of ground

as we read chapters 28 through 31.

So we won't get too deep into the context but we will look at the overarching truths and

the hope of Christ we see throughout these chapters.

Yesterday, we started a new section within Deuteronomy about the blessings and the curses.

Chapter 27 detailed the ceremony the nation would hold when they entered the Promised Land.

The sampling of laws recited, followed by the people's amen, indicated their commitment

to this agreement between them and God.

As we take a look at chapter 28, these verses specifically described the blessings and curses

the nation would experience depending on their obedience or rebellion.

The blessings described in verses 3 through 6 indicate that it wouldn't just be the people
