Hey friends, welcome back to a Year in the Bible with Daily Grace. Tiffany here, and today we celebrate the completion of Deuteronomy.

When we started this book about a week and a half ago, we mentioned some of the major themes we would see across our study of this book.

These themes were God's faithfulness, the law, exhortations and warnings, and blessings and curses.

Hopefully, as a recent student of Deuteronomy, you can name some of the ways

we've seen these themes unfold. We've also talked about how Deuteronomy is structured like a

suzeran vassal treaty from this ancient time period. But unlike these treaties of old,

God's message provides the nation of Israel with hope and his covenant promises are certain.

Our chapters yesterday departed from the typical structure of the treaties as Moses shared this hope.

Today, as we complete the book, we return to the treaty structure with the section known as witnesses.

Just like we have witnesses when we sign important documents today, these treaties also listed who witnessed them.

Chapter 30 briefly spoke of heaven and earth, bearing witness to God's promises to the nation,

and now in Chapter 32, Moses' song will bear witness as well.

One of Moses' final tasks before his death was to pin this song and recite it over the nation.

In it, Moses recites numerous names for God, declares his sovereignty, speaks to how he has worked
