0:37.4	And before we dive into today's chapters, I want to remind us where we are structurally
0:43.5	in Deuteronomy and also mention just a few things we had to leave out yesterday.
0:48.7	First, don't forget that Moses is sharing his final sermon with the nation of Israel

0:57.2	This sermon has been filled with specific ordinances for the nation to follow.
1:02.1	As gods chosen people, they were to look different and set apart in their conduct.
1:08.2	This agreement between God and his people was similar to the Caesar and Vassal treaties

1:15.8	Unlike two ancient nations that would fail each other, God would never fail Israel even

1:23.4	Second, as we walked through the specific stipulations of this representative treaty between God
1:29.6	and Israel, the ten commandments have been our guide.
1:33.7	In chapters 23 and 24, the commandment that was specifically addressed was property protection.
