Jesus meets us in the hard places in Scripture and in the hard and painful places in our lives.

As we begin, I want to remind us what the prophet Nathan said to David when he was confronted concerning his own sin with Bathsheba and the murder of Euryah.

While God did forgive David, there were consequences for David's actions.

Yesterday, in 2nd single, 1210, we read, the sword will never leave your house.

Now this doesn't mean that God caused the sin we are about to talk about.

Rather, the poor example David set concerning God's covenant of marriage will affect how his own sons treat others.

David's family will cause him great pain, as well as great turmoil for the nation.

In 1 Chronicles 3, we read that David had many wives and most of his children were only half siblings.
