0:43.6	As we traverse both 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles, we will learn the importance of getting rid
0:49.5	of the high places of sin in our lives and surrounding ourselves with godly mentors
0:55.6	and most importantly, the necessity of obedience to the Lord.
1:00.9	As we begin, I want to remind us where we are on the chronological timeline of Scripture.
1:07.5	Last week, we studied 2 Chronicles 21-23 where we learned about Jorams and Ahaziah's
1:15.1	deaths, followed by Athalaya becoming Queen of Judah and killing all but one heir, Joash,
1:23.5	who was hidden in the temple.
1:25.6	Then, we did a flashback or interlude of sorts as we studied the life and miracles of
1:32.1	Alisha and the demise of Ahab's family at the hand of Jahu.
1:38.3	We are now, once again, current, with Athalaya's 6-year reign here in 2 Kings, 11.
1:46.5	As we walk through today's chapters, we will go in event order, meaning 2 Kings 11
