0:30.4	Tiffany here and today we head back to Second Kings, chapters 9 through 10.
0:36.2	These two chapters are the culmination of the message God gave to Elijah concerning the
0:41.7	demise of Ahab's family back in First Kings, chapters 19 and 21.
0:48.6	And if the events seem somewhat familiar, we also studied them briefly several days
0:54.2	ago when we studied Second Chronicles chapter 22.
0:57.9	But here in Second Kings, we are given many more details as we see the consequences of Ahab's
1:05.5	and his family's sin.
1:08.3	And we will see how God begins to discipline all of Israel for their rebellion and worship
1:13.2	of idols.
1:14.9	Today's chapters can feel heavy and gruesome.
1:18.5	But that is when we have to remember who we serve, God is holy and just and sin has consequences,
1:26.8	but he is also good and gracious and the plan of redemption reminds us that we find forgiveness
1:33.3	and grace in Jesus Christ.
