Tiffany here, and today we return to 2 Chronicles from our quick trip to the prophet Micah, and

we get to study Judas King Hezekiah.

As we know already, Micah and Isaiah prophesied during Hezekiah's reign, and many of the

events in his life will be covered over the next week as we look at the narratives of

kings and chronicles and more prophecies from Isaiah and Hosea.

As Hezekiah's reign begins today, and we see the many reforms he makes and how he leads

the people back to the Lord, or reminded that it is never too late to return to the Lord.

Hezekiah took the throne after his evil father Ahaz died, but unlike his father, Hezekiah

chose to do what was right in the side of the Lord.

His first order of business was to consecrate the priests and the temple.

Scripture tells us it was in his heart to make a covenant with the Lord.

The temple had been neglected and trashed for a long time.

It took 16 days just for the priests to clean it out and make it presentable again.

And once it was cleansed, the various utensils used for sacrifice that Ahaz took from the

temple were returned.
