| 1:07.1 | These verses are quoted often at Christmas as we celebrate our wonderful counselor, mighty |

| 1:17.4 | But let's think for a moment how our original audience might have heard this message. |
| 1:23.2 | This nation longed for the promised Messiah and could only see him dimly like a blurry |
| 1:29.1 | picture in the distance. |
| 1:31.4 | Imagine the great hope these words from Isaiah evoked as the people of Judah listened to |
| 1:37.8 | the prophesied destruction of their brothers and sisters in the northern kingdom. |
