Today is yet again another chilling tale.

This haunting tale story club members might make you want to sleep with the lights on.

It's one I call the Hider in the Halls.

Brandy Matheson awoke just minutes before the The other bed in the room was made and unoccupied. The slate gray morning sunlight, if you want to call it,

light, crept in through the window. It took her a moment to remember where she was. Oh, yeah,

she was at the Wormwood School for Girls, a creaky old boarding school in the middle of the British

countryside. The three-storied building resembled a castle that was built a couple hundred years ago.

It housed 64 girls, two per room.

The schoolmaster, Mrs. Emily Parsons, had told her the other girls would arrive by the end

of the week.

Brandy had to come a week early at the end of August as her mother had to travel for a new job.

Yeah, that's right.

She felt so groggy it was hard to remember a thing.

Oh, and yeah, breakfast would be served soon.

Brandy needed to get up, use the toilet, wash her face and hands, run a brush through her hair, and get dressed.

Breakfast was also roll call, which was silly considering she was the only student. It was just her, Mrs. Parsons, some of the kitchen staff, and a few groundskeepers.

Yet, the school was so vast and empty with its long, shadowy corridors and its echoy rooms,

that you felt alone no matter what part of the stone structure you were in.

But that changed the moment Brandy entered the hallway.
