Hey again, Aral Stein Story Club members. I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most and

keeper of the strangest, spookiest tales on earth. Today is another Ivy's chilling tale. This

cavernous tale story club members might make you go full Neanderthal.

It's one I call troglodyte.

After the hellacious storm that had blown through the night before, the morning was bright

and calm.

Danny Crawford walked out into the blinding sunlight.

The power was out in his grandma's house, so there was nothing to do, no games to play,

and no TV to watch.

He thought he'd throw on his windbreaker, trek outside to assess the damage, and maybe even

capture a few photos. Danny was staying at his grandmother's house for the weekend while his parents

were away on a business trip. Though he was a city kid, he liked his grandma's cozy house

in the country. Sometimes you could see deer crossing through the front yard.

It was very beautiful, peaceful and calm.

Danny snapped some pictures of cracked and fallen trees.

They were everywhere.

Apparently, some wind-swept branches had taken out the electric lines.

The power had gone out sometime during the night after the rain and wind

felt like it was going to pick up the house right off the ground. What happened next, Danny could never have guessed in a hundred years,

maybe even 10,000 years. As he was walking along a woods line trail, the ground gave way and he

tumbled headlong down a muddy hole. He must have been unconscious for a bit because when he
