Today is another chilling tale.

This water-soaked tale story club members might make you stay out of the water for a long, long time.

It's one I call Sea Evil.

It was on the third day, adrift at sea, that Kari Norton saw the boat.

It was like a miracle.

Fog had engulfed the dark, cold waters.

And this cabin cruiser, which was probably about 35 feet long, had appeared suddenly

in the mist.

There was even a ladder on the side of the boat so she could climb onto the deck.

What were the chances?

Karie grabbed the metal ladder and climbed aboard.

She called out hello, but nobody answered. Was this a ghost boat? Three days ago,

Kari and her mother had boarded her stepfather's 100-foot yacht. She didn't like her stepfather

much. He always flashed his money around and talked about how much things cost. Like the yacht

costing $3 million. Karri thought it was

tacky but her mother seemed happy enough they'd boarded the luxury boat to go on a 24-hour

trip in the open water in the north Pacific cruising up the Oregon coast toward Alaska

in the middle of the night Kari couldn't sleep so she donned her puffy coat and walked out

onto the empty deck.

The driver of the yacht didn't see her.
