I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most and keeper of the strangest, spookiest tales on earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This blood-sucking tale story club, might make you stay out of certain

bodies of water. It's one I call the behemoth leeches of Beaver Springs.

Jenny Corman and Robbie Gordon decided to take Jenny's parents' kayaks down Beaver Springs, which was a beautiful spot in the Floridian Everglades.

They'd spent all day rowing, having lunch, and rowing some more.

The summer heat was oppressive, and they decided to do a little late afternoon swimming before rowing back to shore.

Though the water of the natural spring was fairly clear and blue,

they did have to watch out for gators and crocs in the water.

After all, gators and crocs are regular residents of the Everglades.

Jenny and Robbie also had to watch out for massive pythons.

Though they weren't an indigenous area, people had dumped their pets off in the glades,

and they sometimes grew to mammoth proportions. So now, pythons were considered an invasive species

that was decimating wildlife in the area, birds, mammals, and reptiles. Jenny had read that

they were hunters rounding them up, and that they even caught a 20-foot python once.

Something that big would definitely be able to eat Jenny and Robbie for dinner.

Actually, something that big could eat a 10-foot alligator for that matter.

Jenny was swimming in the water thinking about what could be lurking below when she felt something attached to her right leg.

At first, she thought it might be a snake. She screamed for Robbie. He had a diving mask and

snorkel and swam over to her. He peered down into the water with his mask.

Whoa, that's the biggest leech I'd ever seen, he said.
