Being a girl who carefully stared in her closet each and every morning to select which shade

a black-eyed wear for the day, I was all about anything with the words monster or haunted

The carnival attraction had some painted skeletons on the outside of a mock Victorian

house, and there were canned, recorded screams emanating from within.

Naturally, like the proverbial moth to the flame, I was attracted.
