Revelation and look at chapters 10 through 12 today.

Yesterday we ended our time talking about the sixth trumpet which released a second

whoa. A third of the earth's population was slain and those that remained still continued in their sin.

Before the seventh trumpet is opened, we have another brief interlude of sorts.

In his vision, John sees a mighty angel

with a

angel with a small scroll in his hand. The angel is wrapped in a cloud, a rainbow over his head, face like the sun, with legs like pillars of fire.

The cloud represents glory, power, and majesty.

The rainbow, God's faithfulness to all His covenants.

His face like the sun reminds us of the radiance from being in God's presence, and his legs

like pillars of fire show stability and holiness.

As this mighty angel comes to the earth, his right foot in the sea and left foot on the land

displays his complete power over all the earth.

In his hand is the little scroll which is the word of God. The angel

roars like a lion and seven thunders also speak. John is ready to write what the thunders say and the voice of the Lord stops him.
