points to Jesus. Hey friends and welcome back to a year in the Bible with daily grace. My name is

Tiffany and I'm so excited to be back with you today to discuss revelation chapter 7 through 9.

Yesterday we talked about the scroll that only Jesus was worthy to open.

The scroll had seven seals and we ended the day with the sixth seal when the day of the

Lord begins. God's wrath had come and all hope seemed lost. Before the seventh seal is opened,

there is a brief interlude of sorts.

John tells us he saw four angels

holding back the four whims of the earth, and a fifth angel from the east carried the seal of the living God.

The angel held back the wrath of God until the servants of God were sealed and taken to the throne.

144,000 were sealed from the Israelites.

There are various views on who these 144,000 represent.

Something, it is the church, while others believe that they're Hebrews who have followed Jesus.

This would make a lot of sense as God continually promised a remnant

of his people would be saved. It would also be a final fulfillment of the covenants made to

Abraham, David, and Jeremiah.

Whoever these 144,000 may be, we can trust that God cares for,

protects, and loves his children.

They will not be left behind to endure his wrath.

John's vision then leaves the earth and he is in the heavenly throne room once again.

There he sees a vast multitude from every tribe, tongue, and nation,
