and we want to spend five minutes every day journeying through the Bible from start to

Hey everybody, Kristen here and you're listening to the A Year in the Bible with Daily Grace

0:26.3

Podcast. And today's reading in numbers 10 through 12, God told Moses to make two silver

0:34.0

trumpets. And these trumpets, we're going to be used to gather the people for worship

0:38.5

and for feasts and to prepare them for battle. Isn't that interesting? You have worship

1:29.2

it. But unfortunately, this isn't what happened. In chapter 11, we see that the people actually

1:36.9

started to complain. This made God mad. And so he sent fire from heaven. But even that didn't stop

1:44.1

their bitter hearts. Soon, they started complaining that they had no meat to eat, that they were tired

1:48.8

of having mana. So if you remember back to the book of Exodus, the people were hungry and God had

1:53.9

sent this miraculous provision of food from heaven called it mana. And it was kind of like coriander

1:58.7

seed. The people would take it. They would boil it, make cakes from it. It was miraculous. It was

2:03.9

this food that God had provided from nothing out of the wilderness. But the people were tired of
