Jeremiah's 46 through 48. These chapters go over God's judgment of the Egyptians, the Philistines, and the Moabites.

Scholars believe Jeremiah received these judgments for the nations at different times.

However, they were placed back to back in the Book of Jeremiah in chapters 46 through 51.

and made them drink the cup of God's wrath? God's wrath is his judgment and we are

Yesterday we read how the remnant disobey God by running off to Egypt.

In turn, God tells them that Egypt will be overtaken by the Babylonians.

God was going to use King Nebuchinezer as his instrument of judgment.

did happen. Babylon did indeed overtake Egyptian territory around 600 to 605 BC. We read in this chapter that Jeremiah prophesied Egypt's downfall.

Egypt is warned of its impending defeat and the destruction was indeed devastating.

The judgment we read about is severe, but it's only a shadow of the

judgment to come when Jesus returns, once and for all to destroy evil. We will read
