0:28.0	Stephanie your host through the Book of Jeremiah. Today we're covering
0:31.2	chapters 40, 41, 41 and 42 in the last chapter we read about the fall of Jerusalem to
0:37.5	Babylon we read that King Nabakinezer instructed no harm to be done to
0:42.1	Jeremiah in chapter 40 Neser instructed no harm to be done to Jeremiah.
0:43.4	In chapter 40, Jeremiah is released.
0:46.4	As he frees Jeremiah from his chains,
0:48.8	the captain of the guard shares truths he knows.
0:52.3	This disaster was ordered and fulfilled by God because the people
0:56.2	sinned against him with their disobedience. Though he was a pagan, he understood the judgment,
1:02.3	and he advises Jeremiah to go north of Jerusalem to a man named
1:06.3	Gadalia. This man was appointed by King Nebbakaneser over the cities of Judah.
1:11.6	Gadalia was sort of like a governor.
1:14.2	So Jeremiah goes to be with a remnant.
1:16.6	Rather than being taken care of in Babylon,
1:19.6	Jeremiah chooses to go to a war-torn land. He fully believed in God's
1:25.0	in God's promises of restoration.
1:27.1	Jeremiah trusted in the faithfulness of God.
1:30.1	In Ms. Pa, Gdalia instructs rumnet to not be afraid of the Babylonians.
1:35.2	They are instructed to serve the king and live there.
