the book of Isaiah. How are you doing? What has stood out to you the most.

But for now, we are going to dive in and look at the task at hand.

Today we are going to take a look at Isaiah chapter 31 through 33.

These chapters are a continuation of our new section that we started yesterday, where God is speaking directly to the historical events that will take place to bring about both final judgment and salvation.

Chapter 31 picks back up. and salvation.

Chapter 31 picks back up with reminding Judah that as the Assyrian siege the city, Egypt was not

who they should turn to for an alliance. They must turn to the Lord.

God even says in verse 3, Egyptians are mere men, not God. The God of the universe provides the protection that they need.

The Lord's might is described as a roaring lion and his protection his hovering birds.

and forsake the idols of silver and gold.

This is their reminder that Assyria will fall. Egypt will fall with them and God alone
