| 0:54.8 | We now begin a somewhat new section of Isaiah over the next couple of days as we see God speaking |

| 1:08.9 | As we have mentioned on this journey, Isaiah teaches us about God's glory and in our chapters today we are |

| 1:21.2 | plan of redemption. |
| 1:23.0 | Chapter 28 begins with the word Woe. |
| 1:28.0 | We know this to mean that grief and affliction are coming on those being addressed. |
| 1:34.1 | Here, the woe is addressed to Samaria, which was the capital of the Northern Kingdom |

| 1:41.8 | Their sinful lifestyle will lead them to ruin and it will not be long before they fall to Assyria. |
| 1:49.2 | Judah is warned for their sinful lifestyle as well. They must heed the word of the Lord or their |
| 1:56.0 | fate will be the same. In light of the prophecy against Israel, Judah seeks an alliance with Egypt. |
| 2:04.0 | Instead of trusting the Lord for their salvation, they sought after a military power to save them. |
