but this book teaches us so much about God and redemption.

So today, let's take a look at chapters 22 through 24. If you remember over the past few days we've read quite a bit about the destruction of various nations.

Isaiah, chapters 13 through 23, cover all of that information.

These chapters list Isaiah's prophecies against the nations of the world.

Today, we will wrap up the last two of those chapters. of the

world. Today we will wrap up the last two of those chapters, which then culminate in chapter 24

with the future destruction of the earth

and the eternal reign of our Lord.

Understanding the structure of Isaiah can help us better understand what his

prophecy and when they occurred or if we still await them.

Let's get started with chapter 22.

We've read quite a bit about this destruction of various nations

and as the people of Judah heard these prophecies coming from Isaiah's mouth, they

likely rejoiced in the fact that their enemies would be destroyed.

But now in chapter 22, Isaiah's pronouncement of judgment turns to Judah herself.

An interesting thing to note is that the events of this chapter actually proceed the events of chapter 21 in their

fulfillment. So think back to yesterday as we read about the fall of Babylon. We read that Babylon would fall to two of its allies, the Meads and
