Isaiah is one of those books that is full of truth, and as we have seen thus far, we have to be students of the word to understand what is going on.

So let's dig into Isaiah chapter 16 through 18 today.

Yesterday we left off with chapter 16 through 18 today.

Yesterday we left off with Chapter 15 where God pronounced judgment on Moab.

The message to Moab overlaps into Chapter 16, so we will take a quick look at both.

First, let's remind ourselves who this nation of Moab is.

If you think back to Genesis 19, Lott and his family fled Sod and Gomora before it was destroyed by fire and

sulfur. Lott's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.

Lott and his two daughters lived in a cave and his two daughters, thinking there were no men left in the land,

slept with their father and each had a child.

The oldest child was Moab, and he became the father of the Moabites.

Moab was fierce enemies of Israel. Here in Chapter 15 Isaiah prophesied devastation to Moab from an unknown invader.
