Today we are continuing with reading the book of Daniel and we're discussing chapters 4, 5, and 6.

Nebuchinezer detailed another dream. This one involved a tall, lush, and abundant tree being cut down to a stump and a man who was forced to eat with the animals.

Daniel interpreted this dream as well. He identified that the tree was Nebuchnezzar, since he and his kingdom had become very successful and powerful. But because of his pride, Nebuchadnezzar will be driven away from his throne

due to severe mental illness. He would eat with the animals and be drenched with dew. He would not eat with the animals and be drenched with dew. He would not return until he acknowledged the true

God of the universe. As Daniel interpreted, this happened to Nebuchanese.

He was driven from the kingdom and went into the wilderness.

But there, Nebuchanese

finally acknowledged that God in his kingdom were way superior and that God alone

ruled.

King Belchizar succeeded Nebuchinizar. He too was prideful and did not acknowledge the Lord.

Bel-Chazar had a feast and drank wine from the sacred materials that were used to worship God in the temple.

At that moment, a man's fingers appeared and began writing on the wall next to the king.

Belchisar was shook. No one could read the inscription, not any of the king's

wise men. Then the queen told him of Daniel about how he had profound wisdom and was able to interpret

Nebuchadze's dreams. Daniel read the writing and revealed that Belchisar's reign would later be taken over by another kingdom, the Meads and the Persians, and that night the kingdom was captured.
