just like the rest of the book of acts it is full of signs, wonders, and miracles

that Jesus does through the Apostles and the Holy Spirit in order to build his church.

In chapter six we left off with one of the disciples, Stephen, in custody and falsely accused

of speaking against the temple and the law.

Chapter 7 is Stephen's response.

It is the longest speech in all of acts,

and in it he details the history of the patriarchs of the faith. He shows in this speech over and over again how God's people

have rejected God's prophets and Jesus. Then he tells those who arrested him that they, not him, are the ones who are rejecting the one true God.

This enrages his captors and they drag him out of the city to stone him.
