Book of Second Timothy. And the Book of Second Timothy is actually

relatively short. It only has four chapters and so we're going to be talking about

the whole book in one day. So let's dive in. So the Book of second Timothy, just like the book of first Timothy, is written by Paul to Timothy.

And it's a beautiful book. It has great themes in it like God's faithfulness and the sufficiency of scripture.

And it also talks about some more difficult ideas such as suffering and false teachers.

And as we're reading, you may notice

that the tone of this book is a little bit more

Paul is writing this book from prison and he is reminding Timothy that though

he may be bound in prison with chains, God's word is not bound with him. God's word is never limited or bound or in chains.

Okay, so let's start with Chapter 1.

Paul starts off this letter thanking God for Timothy

Even though many of Paul's friends had deserted him, they were embarrassed, that he was in prison, they were ashamed.
