Richard faces his last day at work, and it seems that the prospect of retirement wears him so much that he is in a complete

days. When he finally gets to work, he begs to be allowed to stay on, but to no avail.

Hyacinth has invited the wife of an influential businessman, T, but her plans to impress are

in jeopardy when one of Rose's boyfriends, whom Rose has arranged to meet there, rather
