This is Karen Hunter and welcome to the hub. If I would ask you which game is most like life or business, which game would you choose?

If you asked me that question a year ago, I would of course pick chess.

You know, I just did an interview that you heard with Maurice Ashley

Grandmaster of chess and I was obsessed with this notion of mastering this game

because I believe that chess if you could master chess you can master life because isn't life a war?

And if you know the rules and you master every single move that you can make, then of course

you're going to win and the variables you can play

out ahead of time you're thinking several moves ahead all those chess like verbiage play out.

But I recently discovered a book by Annie Duke who is one of the

greatest women to ever play people, let's just say that, one of the greatest

poker players in the world.

She wrote a book called Thinking and Betts.

And what she has posited is that poker is more like life.

And as I'm reading her book, I get it.
