So I have been threatening and promising a conversation about God for quite some time and I'm finally here with the person

that I wanted to kick this off with because not only is she a legal expert and

social justice activist?

She also has studied a little something in this area

and has come to some conclusions that aren't unlike

the things that I've come to conclude.

So let me welcome the one and only,

Yeah, we usually get the chit chat on a Wednesday, but I said I wanted to talk to you.

First I want to ask you, you were raised by a missionary, and a preacher.

And a preacher.

Mm-hmm.

No. But somewhere along the way you fell off the road. So did. Tell us a little bit about that journey off the off the reservation so to speak. Yeah so I mean it I was I was what I call a super Christian

like junior Bible quiz champion run like several years in a row like I was

making finals I knew all the facts and and the figures and the books and the

chapters and the verses and it was great I was a part of the gospel choir like you know my mom I I mean it was a wonderful thing and we were because we were military we experienced a lot of different denominations so a significant part of my life was Church of God and Christ or Kojik similar to holiness.

We went non-denominational when we were stationed in some spaces where there was like very

few melanated people.
