So before we get into the book, I had seen you in other places, but Queen Sugar is like you've stepped into something.

And I don't know too many people that see that role and they're not in line with all the

complexities that you bring to it.

When you got the script for it, what were you thinking?

Was this your role?

Did they make it for you?

They actually did not make it for me.

I am, though I have never been told this officially,

I believe that the role was for Oprah.

And I believe that, and I could be wrong,

let me go on record there.

And I believe that the script for Queen Sugar

came in and wasn't ready and Oprah needed to move forward for business reasons and went to Greenleaf, right?

And so when Queen Sugar came in and I mean,
