Summary

0:17.7	When I first heard about the Mars One Mission four years ago I thought who in the hell would get a one-way ticket or want a one-way ticket to go to Mars. Well honestly it's not looking like such a bad ride
0:25.6	considering where we are right now in this world with the Amazon on fire,
0:29.8	Wars, rumors of wars, we got a president that wants to nuke hurricanes and make deals with
0:35.7	despots yeah we're in some strange crazy times and Mars is actually looking pretty
0:40.2	attractive well they finally got it down to the last 50 women and 50 men
0:46.1	among 200,000 entrants and I thought that was crazy. I'm like nearly a quarter
0:51.0	of a million people applied to get on a one-way trip to another planet.
0:57.4	200,000 people wanted to get the hell off of Earth.
1:00.3	They knew something four years ago that I didn't know and one of these people I got to interview her name is Kenya
1:06.6	Armbrista. She is now 36 years old. She was a pharmaceutical she was in a pharmaceutical industry and I talked to her about why she was why she wanted to be on this mission.
1:17.8	She at that time had not been selected as one of the finalists.
1:20.5	She has since been selected as one of the finalists and I was wondering
1:24.8	what would inspire somebody to want to never see their family again because that's how
1:29.6	deep it is and to want to repopulate or populate a planet that right now has no life on it.
1:37.7	So up next is my interview with Kenya Ambrista.
1:41.1	She's actually an amazing woman, a highly spiritual woman, and she's really got me thinking right now that I might have needed to apply.
