podcast for you today my guest is the author, and strategist Ryan Holiday.

He has written too many New York Times bestsellers to even count,

ones such as, trust me I'm lying, ego is the enemy, the daily stoic, the obstacle is the way,

perennial seller, and so on.

Today we talk about writing, creativity, the artistic process, we get kind of deep into that,

and then we go on to discuss his new book, Conspiracy, Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gulchre, and the anatomy of intrigue.

It's a very fascinating story and Ryan was able to sit down with each of those people and interview

them, talk interview them,

talk to them, gather an incredible amount of notes about what happened

with that whole scenario, and then draw it into a beautiful story of a book which is what conspiracy ended up becoming. So I know that you

all enjoy it. Ryan is an awesome guy, extremely sharp and has a lot of great things to share about writing and about life for that matter.

So I think you all will really enjoy this one.

I would like to make a quick correction, something I realized after we were done recording is we were talking

about John Cage as a composer at one point.

I mentioned a piece called Empty Words by him and I erroneously said that it was recorded in Paris and after we were done I realized that it was recorded in Italy.

So just in case anyone goes searching for that piece,

for some reason, not quite sure why you would,

other than it being awesome, but it's just kind of conceptual awesome as opposed

to being awesome to sit through.

But I think I just summed up avant-garde music and art in its entirety right there.
