Robbie Earle. He's your co-host, Kyle Schoenwell, and we could not be more excited to be here today,

because today marks something of a milestone in this rewatch journey that we've been on for a bit now.

Yes, it absolutely does. And I am as excited for this as I have been for anything ever.

Anything ever. So I'm going to try to stay, anything ever. I think I'm going to try to stay calm for

the intro, but just know somewhere in here the juices will get flowing. But yes, today is the end of

phase one. We watched The Avengers last night. And it's such a pivotal movie for so many reasons.

And I think it was just a true joy for me to rewatch it.

So I'm just pumped right now.

I'm on Cloud 9.

But let's get started, can we?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The Avengers was released on May 4 of 2012.

It grossed over $1.5 billion billion with a B dollars. Wow. And you know the

cast, but by way of an official intro, Robert Downey Jr. played Iron Man. Chris Evans plays

Captain America. Mark Ruffalo plays The Hulk. Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Those are our original Six Avengers.

There you go. We also stars Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Sam Jackson, amongst others. So this is really the first time we have seen a cast of this magnitude.

Right. The screenplay was written and the movie was directed by Joss Whedon. It has 92% on Rotten

Tomatoes. Audiences loved it. Critics loved it. It was pivotal and it made $1.5 billion. So anything negative that's going to be said is got to be taken with the smallest grain of salt ever.

Before we get any further, I do want to point one thing out that I noticed for the first time on the credits here.

Did you see that the screenplay is written by Joss Whedon, but the story is actually by

Joss Whedon and Zach Penn, who, interestingly enough, wrote The Incredible Hulk.
