Hello, hi and welcome to another episode of the Emmer Gunn show. I'm delighted to be saying that Ruth Cruelly is

joining me on this episode. She is a returning guest. She is fantastic and we talk

about her new book How Not to be a supermodel and we are friends offline and what was funny about this

we recorded this via Zoom the day before Ruth's book came out.

It all kind of happened last minute.

We've been talking about this for months and then as life is,

you know what it's like with friends, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And then suddenly you're like, oh, we should probably do that, shouldn't we?

So she was in a hotel room in West London. I was at home and it just so happened that loads of post arrived during this call and because we're quite informal I'd said, oh, the dorm might go and because she's a mate, she doesn't care.

But I would normally edit out this stuff.

But Ruth used my absence as an opportunity to weave tales about what was going on.

So I've left all of that in.

Sorry if it seems really clunky, but actually this was a podcast episode that really made me remember why I fell in love with

podcasting in the first place because it is kind of a conversation that can go

anywhere can be ridiculous as well as being quite deep can be hilarious as well as being quite reflective so I just I

really enjoyed my conversation with Ruth and I hope that you do too we cover her book

She had a very successful career.
