John, their mission, these are groups that have been around for decades. Their mission was as an

infrastructure for peace, dialogue, diplomacy, largely US-Russia relations, which many

may not remember, were also quite vitriolic during the Cold War, but the dialogue continued between scientists, between artists, between cultural figures, journalists.

What we're witnessing now, and I do think the war in Ukraine,

the war between NATO and Russia has reached a point of grave danger.

These groups are becoming more active

as best they can, including physicians

for social responsibility.

Frank von Hippel, the eminent physicist formed years ago and has revived the Physicist Committee for Nuclear

Reduction.
