Sanctions against the Russian Federation because of its invasion and brutality in Ukraine.

How's it going?

The sanctions are going very well except when it comes to the Russians selling from Russ Adam.

There is some reason to hesitate. Russ Adam is the Russian equivalent of a corporation that sells ore and builds reactors and

maintains reactors around the world.

It is a moneymaker for Moscow, has been for a long time, and during the war it's still making money.

But in particular, we're now going to focus on Russ Adam in Turkey, a member of NATO in attendance at the NATO gatherings such

as the summit in Washington.

And yet I welcome Andrea Stricker of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy.

She's going to help me understand the ambition of the Biden administration now to persuade Turkey to move away from Ross Adam and

towards the United States, NATO, and other Western organizations that can provide

similar development for atomic power.

And Reyes a research fellow and deputy director of the Foundation's Nonproliferation and

Bio Defense Program. Andrea, first of the Foundation's non-proliferation and bio-defense program.

Andrea, first we have to get past the irony that Russ Adam makes money and continues to make

money and has not been sanctioned by the United States, by NATO, by the European Union.

Is all that correct and what is the explanation for why Ross Adam continues to do business

with the West that is now at odds with Russ
