Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York City. However, it looks like six could soon become seven.

Currently, three marathons are attempting to become the seventh world major sometime after 2025.

And they are the Sydney Marathon, the Cape Town Marathon and the Chengdu Marathon in China.

They are the three races vying to make it a seven-star finisher medal.
