Heather is one of our great gifted presences in the Allender Center. She's a therapist. But what we're going to talk

today about is she is the most amazing ritual maker I've ever been in the presence of. And I don't

think I ever have met any other people who I would call ritual makers.

And yet, we're all ritual makers.

And so to open the door to this discussion, let me just say that in a COVID-19 era, we are having thousands of our basic routines ruined, changed, radicalized,

and many of us are needing routine to be able to even move slightly toward restoration

in the middle of this deep traumatic disruption. Without routine,

trauma will always become far, far darker. But routines and rituals have a lot of overlap,

but they are not the same. And what we want to invite you, the listener

to, is to be thinking about the importance not only of routine, but what it might mean to be

part of joining and co-creating with others, rituals that will sustain us as we move through this time. So, Heather,
