Top story this morning, Andrew D. Sedereo is in Las Vegas, and he notes that abortion is quite

literally on the ballot in some states where Democrats are fighting for their political survival.

They want to use these ballot initiatives to their advantage to counteract what is a flat-out

terrible Senate map for them this year.

It hasn't always been easy for either party to rely on ballot initiatives to be a difference

maker in federal elections, but Democrats believe that having an issue like abortion on the

ballot will drive up turnout among those inclined to vote for Democrats, but otherwise might feel unmotivated to cast a ballot.

Tough bet that Democrats are making in Nevada.

They probably have a little bit of an advantage because of the Democratic machine that Harry Reid fostered and built in Nevada.
