headlines of the day. Number one, the latest on the Trump assassination task force. Number two, pro-Ukraine Republicans are already focused on the next

round of government funding. And number three, a big week of recess fundraising. All right, Jake,

let's get into it. We are leading Punchball News a.m. this morning with a look at how the

House's bipartisan task force to investigate the attempted assassination of former President

Donald Trump is taking their first official act as a committee today, kicking off a four-month

sprint that will put several key agencies in the hot seat.

The chair, Mike Kelly, the Republican from Pennsylvania and ranking member, Representative

Jason Crow from Colorado, are sending a pair of letters to the Department of Homeland Security

and Department of Justice requesting all information and records that have already been produced

for any House or Senate committees in relation to the shooting.

Yeah, this is a few things to keep in mind here in my view.

First of all, let's actually, let's just talk about the news for a second.

So they're effectively trying to take over, not trying.

They are officially taking over any House action of investigations into the attempted

assassination of former President Donald Trump.

That's number one.
