Greetings, parish orphans and retrogrades.

I wanted to get together today to pray a rosary for Pope Francis.

Yesterday, he resumed mechanical ventilation as his condition worsened.

Over the last 12, 18 hours, he's remained stable.

The least we can do is get together and pray a rosary for him together.

So that's what I wanted to do with you all today.

Pray on Fat Tuesday of all days, last day before Lent begins, a sorrowful five mysteries on the rosary beads.

So that's what we'll do.

I pray the rosary the old school way.

We'll begin with the agony in the garden.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Remember for these Ten Hail Mary's, we're meditating as much as we can on our Lord in the Garden of Gethsemini with his three best friends, but they're

falling asleep after he'd asked them to remain awake, sweating blood.
