Hello and welcome to the Dynasty Dude podcast.

0:22.9

I'm your host, Corey Evans.

0:24.1

I am back for my vacation, took that week off to reset and be fully prepared for the NFL

0:30.0

draft that is to come.

0:31.2

And eventually before we know it, the NFL season begins later on this fall.

0:35.2

So let's get right to it.

0:36.0

I'm going to continue my rookie player comps series with wide receivers this week and then closing it out next week with tight ends. And then next Thursday, NFL draft is upon us. So it'll be right in time to conclude my pre-draft analysis. And of course, if you want access to all my pre-draft rankings, that's only on Patreon. you can become a member for three different tier-level prices at $5, $12, or $25 per month. All that info, as well as links are in my social media bios. That's Dynasty DuPod or even scroll on down here in your episode show notes and click join Patreon to gain it's in access to those pre-draft rankings. All right, rookie wide receiver player comps.

I'm going to discuss it with two different perspectives, which is the theme here,

1:16.0

1:18.7

players that I think are similar in terms of how they approach and play the position

1:23.1

and that skill set.

1:24.0

Actually, what I'm seeing on film from said prospects.

1:29.0

Let's go ahead and kick it off with Mackay Lemon out of USC. He is 21, 22 in June, 511, 192, so it does fit that association of being a

1:38.5

quote unquote slot receiver only. But if you look at his skill set, he could be moved as a chess piece and very versatile

1:45.7

in terms of his alignment from college of the pro level style. The most common comparison he receives

1:51.8

is Aminau St. Brown. I'm not saying I don't see it, but I think that Aminara is a unicorn, one of one,

1:58.0

unique, elite, top tier talent, whereas Lemon has a lot to prove in order to even

2:02.0

come close to that sort of status. So the Lemon comps that I see in terms of player style is

2:08.2

Wondale Robinson meets Randall Cobb meets Movedereburn, which are still three solid, if not

2:13.6

above average comparisons or range of outcomes for Mackay Lemon to fulfill.

2:19.5

Now, Lemon did have an odd NFL combine showing, and if you watched his press conferences

2:23.9

or speaking to reporters, you know what I mean? It was odd behavior and he was looking at
