I'm going to quickly summarize the Old Testament.

To sort of set the stage what we're going to talk about,

because we have to have at least a little bit of background to understand the points that St. Paul is going to make. But before I do that,

I will quickly talk about what we've already seen in Romans. Remember St. Paul is writing this

epistle to the church at Rome. He hasn't actually physically been there yet, but because of the Emperor Claudius having

expelled the Jewish community from Rome and now that Jewish community having come back,
