So now chapter 3, verse 1.

What advantage then has the Jew?

Or what is the prophet of circumcision?

Well, this is the natural question.

Right?

So if we're no better off,

in fact, if we're possibly worse off,

right, for having had all of this extra knowledge, well, then what does it mean?

You know, where God's chosen people, right?

You know, God, let Israel chose them, you know, was it, that doesn't seem to make sense.

St. Paul answers that much in every way,

chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.

So he says, big A number one, right?

Not just the Torah, but all of Hebrew Bible, the Old Testament, all of the oracles of God were given to you.

That's a very big benefit. This is a very big benefit. For what if some did not believe,

will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

So he says, sure, there are a whole bunch, right, who have not believed.

And he's referring to two things here, right? One of them, again, is historical.

Right?
