So St. Paul goes on, does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only or upon the uncircumcised also? Right? So he says, so the forgiveness that David is talking about,

is that only for people who are circumcised?

Right? He said, do you have to be, does God say, oh, you have to be circumcised and repent of your

sins? Or does it just come to the person who repents of his sins? Right? The answer is obviously,

it's based on the repentance, not the circumcision.

For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.

How then was it accounted while he was circumcised or uncircumcised?

Not while circumcised, but while uncircised.

Circumcision hasn't been instilled.

Right, because at the time that St. Paul quoted in Genesis, right, when Abraham heard the promises

of God, believed them, took action, picked up and moved, God hadn't given him circumcision

yet.

Right.

So he became a saint. He became a righteous one. He became a saint he became a righteous one he became a holy person before circumcision was even a thing

right well he's about to say it comes later right it comes later but that can't be the basis then

right that can't be part of the basis because it happened

beforehand. And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the

faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe,
