Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

We're in the middle of some great stuff here on Searchlight.

That is because we find ourselves doing a verse-by-verse study through the book of some great stuff here on Searchlight, that is because we find ourselves

doing a verse by verse study through the Book of Romans, and we are learning about justification

and salvation, redemption and grace and faith.

And all of this just makes us love our Lord more and more.

What He did for us and what He continues to do in us is amazing.

Today we are continuing our verse by verse study in Romans chapter 4, where the main topic is

faith. Let's now join Pastor John as we continue to be amazed by God.

The story is told of a little boy who was during the Christmas season unpacking the family nativity scene.

It had been boxed up in each piece carefully packaged in paper and this little boy, oh,

a kindergartner was excited about unwrapping those

figures. He unwrapped the wise men and then the donkeys and then came Joseph and Mary and then he got to unwrap baby Jesus lying in the manger in the crib.

And as he unwrapped him, he said, wow, here's Jesus in his car seat.
