Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

We have been learning about faith in Romans chapter 4,

and it is some pretty exciting stuff. We are learning

that when God makes a promise, he will fulfill it. And the example that the Apostle Paul uses to

demonstrate this is the story of Abraham. Abraham was an old man of 86 when God promised him that he

would be the father of innumerable people.

And when Abraham was 100 years old, God gave Abraham the son that would allow that promise to be fulfilled.

Let's now join Pastor John as we continue to learn about having faith in our great and powerful God.

Abraham believed that God would raise the dead.

Not just reproductively as it related to the promised child that was still yet to be.

But it says Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac in in Hebrews 11 and he received the promise
