Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to be here. Thanks for having me. We're so excited to have you. Yeah, we are so excited.

We like to start off by asking our guests. What is your relationship to romantic movies in general? Oh, man. What do I begin?

I mean, I thought about this born recent years of how I think I used pop culture as like a means of discovery for what the real world was like when I was too young to experience it firsthand.

And a lot of my the seeds planted of my interests that you know were more of the Bianca persuasion, if I'm honest.

I ran an early age, you know, boys popularity clothes, whatever. I loved like kind of the clueless type more vapid rom coms that I now see have more layers as an adult.

But I think that I was just on a fact finding mission about the world growing up in central Virginia with minimal access to like what the world was actually like.

And I graduated very quickly from Disney to like, yeah, clueless step brother romance like there was really no in between.

I think a lot of us had that experience like the Disney to teen rom com track was great.

And yeah, I love that you bring up clueless because I think like 10 things I hate about you. It's one of those movies that like kind of smuggles the spinach of depth and complexity into this really bubblegum fun container, which is like what so much great classic literature is like that was Shakespeare.

Right. It's funny. It's accessible. It's romantic. It's easy to enjoy.
