I'm Jenny Rattelette, producer of the treatment. Recently, Elvis sat down to interview Robert Downey Jr., Robert Duval, and filmmaker David Dobkin, about their new movie The Judge. In the movie, Robert Downey Jr. plays a big city lawyer named Hank Palmer, who returns to his childhood home, where his father, played by Duval, is suspected of murder. Small twist, his father is also the small town's

judge. This conversation was recorded in front of a live audience at the LA County Museum's

Bing Theater as part of the film Independent at LACMA program, which Elvis curates.

So Mr. DeValle, tell me, what made you want to do this script? Where did you like about the material?

At first I turned it down.

You did? True.

In a way, you know, it's a tough part. And I met with Mighty David. He came down to Florida.

I was there with my wife for the winter,

and we talked, and then we, I decided I would do it.

you really gotta commit, you know, so.
