I'm Ryan Mink, here with Garrett Downing, and we are thrilled to be joined by Rick Minter,

the father of new head coach Jesse Minter.

And Rick's got, congrats to you, congrats to the fam.

And can you tell us kind of the reaction when you got the call from Jesse to tell you

that he was the new head coach of the Ravens?

Well, certainly ecstatic.

As a father, it couldn't be more proud.

As a coach who's worked alongside this young man for the last five years consistently,

I've seen the growth, the evolution, the maturity, the insight, and all the

professionalism that led him to this moment. It's a tremendous thing for the family. Certainly

I'm happy for Rachel, Millie, Mac, Monty, the children, their lives are changed forever

in a positive sense.

He's going back to a familiar ground, certainly being Baltimore Ravens.

When the job opened, you know, nobody thought months ago John Harbaugh would be where he's at right now.

And so the Ravens weren't on the radar.

But when that thing opened, I told Jess, I said, of all the jobs that are opening,

as they piled up up to 10, I said, I think the Ravens is the best job out there with Lamar,

the infrastructure, the ownership, all the things that make the Ravens great. And I said,

that's the one job John can't get because he's going to be pursued by all the rest of them.

So, but anyway, it worked out. And I think it's going to be pursued by all the rest of them. So, but anyway, it worked out.

And I think it's going to be a great marriage and partnership with what Jess is going to bring
